Narration:

- -usually only a portion of a whole
- -short stories that are used to make a point are anecdotes, which mainly involve a single incident
- -can often report a personal experience
- -usually subjective (details and langue express the author's feelings)
The Process
- -make sure the story has a purpose
- -mold the story so that it appeals to readers and holds their attention
- -the thesis should become obvious by the end of the story
- -the conclusion should be memorable
- -set events down chronologically, and return to past events with flashbacks if necessary
- -transitions will help the audience follow the narration
