Cause and Effect
-immediate cause: an immediate action to do something
-remote cause: a prolonged action
- both answer: "Why did that happen?" "What were the consequences?" "Whaat might be the effects?"
-subjects, purposes all may be impersonal or personal, it is important to consider the purpose before writing
-thesis will state the primary point of analysis
-casual relations may have a snowball effect in which one causes another
-should be separated into minor and major effects
-causes influence effects, therefore it is essential that the cause be fully analyzed before the effect is taken into account
